Dr. Kevin Brumund |

Dr. Brumund obtained his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. After completing his General Surgery internship at Rush Medical Center, he completed his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the prestigious University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. During his residency training, he was awarded a research fellowship to Paris, France for further education in head and neck surgery and laser cancer resection. He completed his advanced fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery, Skull Base Surgery, and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center.
Dr. Brumund joined the faculty at the University of California, San Diego in the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 2006. He is a member of the multi-disciplinary Head and Neck Oncology team of specialists at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center dedicated to the cutting-edge treatment of patients with head and neck cancer. He also has a keen interest in approaches to the cranial base to access skull base tumors, in order to facilitate their excision. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American Head and Neck Society.
Dr. Brumund enjoys working with and teaching residents the principles of patient management and the comprehensive care of the head and neck cancer patient.
